John E. Mathany, B.A., J.D.

John attended Victoria College, University of Toronto receiving his B.A. in 1969. He continued at the Flavelle School of Law, University of Toronto, receiving his J.D. degree in 1972 and after Articles, was called to the Bar in 1974.

John returned to his home town of Wallaceburg to practice with his family friend and lifelong mentor, Charlton A. Carscallen, Q.C. and was admitted as a partner in 1976.

John was, and is, very active in his community, serving as Chairman of the Kent County Board of Education, President of the Kinsmen Club, Director of the Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer of his Church, President of the Kent County Bar Association, and a member of numerous committees of the local hospital and Health Alliance. He is an active Mason.

John's practice includes corporate/commercial law, real estate, estate planning and administration.
